LEARNING INTENTION
1. Increase knowledge and awareness of characteristics of students on the Autism Spectrum (Asperger’s, Autism and Dyslexia), Cerebral Palsy and ODD 2. Experience some of the feelings and impairments that some students may experience that restricts (limits) their learning 3. Develop some empathy for the difficulties some students experience 4. Discover some strategies that may help students to overcome these limitations and to facilitate enhanced learning experiences (success) |
Success Criteria
1. You feel more equipped to adjust the classroom to facilitate students with a learning difficulty 2. Awareness of where you can access further information on the areas covered 3. Answer questions on the topic to complete an assessment on the information covered. 4. Certificate awarded for completion of a 2hr PD on Inclusion and special needs in school. (used for VIT PD accreditation) |
